On day 17, April plays a damsel in distress wearing monochromatic browns in honor of My Big Fat Greek Wedding’s Frump Girl. In one of the best scenes ever written, Toula realizes her boyfriend remembers her from a time before they dated. Horrified, she says, “I was going through a phase. I was Frump Girl.” He replies, “I don’t remember Frump Girl, but I remember you.” So romantic!!! So, will there be romance in real life for April’s Frump Girl?
So. So. So. Tragic. As Frump Girl, April is more than ignored: she ceases to exist. You barely even notice her come on camera. As she walks behind two girls, she almost disappears. When she drops her papers, a group of guys are walking toward her, and they almost run into/over her. Then, at the last minute, they veer around (almost stepping on her papers). Or, as April said:
No one looks at me twice…or even once.
